Growing up in Maine, living in CT, LA, OK, FL, PR and nearly twenty years in Massachusetts all have one thing in common: my love and caring for animals.

A lifetime of experiences are added to daily. Meeting new pets, working with their owners, volunteering, reading and learning care and training methods, continuing education classes and establishing good business practices all contribute to a strong foundation.  And it's fun!

I joined Pet Sitters International for it's history and successes. Their own mission statement sums it up "PSI is dedicated to educating professional pet sitters and promoting, supporting and recognizing excellence in pet sitting."

Liability coverage comes from Pet Sitters Associates,LLC.  Some of the inclusions are loss or damage to the owner's property, bodily injury to others, loss, injury or death of pets, lost keys, vet expenses, medical payments to others.  

I successfully completed the Red Cross Dog and Cat First Aid Course.  Everyone caring for or owning pets has an obligation to know first aid techniques.  Accidents  happen to pets as well as to people and you may be the victim's best chance for survival.

Learning good health care is vital.  Understanding your pet is just as important.  Knowledge of common dog behaviors and breed specific characteristics is the beginning of good training results and great  pet relationships. Don't miss the Training and Education section in Links.
